THE POWER OF ONE
6 MARATHONS IN 6 DAYS
RAISING MONEY AND AWARENESS FOR FRONTLINE RESPONDERS
Today, or at least the plan was, I was supposed to embark on the RacingThePlanet Grad Slam Plus: 5 stage races (155m/250k each) across 5 continents over the next 6+ months.
And the COVID19 happened and everything changed…
Oh, the races are still happening, but now its all pushed out 2 month.
The first race was in Namibia (it is now the 4th), in SW Africa, neighboring my home country of South Africa, but regardless of the race being postponed, I plan on racing. I plan on running locally to raise money for the front line responders; the people who are still working to make sure we safe at HOME; the local essential businesses that are servicing us, the local restaurants that are feeding us, the local Fire Dept, the local Police Dept, and especially the whole staff at the local hospitals.
Starting Sunday: Stage 1- Pound The Pavement: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
Monday: Stage 2- Conquer The Trails: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
Tuesday: Stage 3- Track To Trail To Track: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
Wednesday: Stage 4- ARE WE THERE YET?: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
Thursday: Stage 5- ALMOST, but not YET: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
Friday: Stage 6-
Suck It Up Buttercup, The End Is In Sight!: I will leave my home and run 26.2 miles/42.2 kilometers.
By Saturday, I plan to have ran 157+ miles/250+ kilometers.

All proceeds are going to be spent IN local business, FOR local frontline responders.
Thank you, Anim S. Swart
