Davids Slight Inconvenience

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lynn and I am going to try and give you the short version of my great friend David’s journey with Leukemia. David’s journey/nightmare/slight inconvenience began end of June 2018. Went to the Dr because he wasn’t feeling his energetic self. He had a bone marrow aspirate, and was given the news that he has acute myelogenous leukemia. He called to tell me when he was on his way to the hospital to spend 30 days. He would be receiving chemo for 7 days (24hrs a day), and stay inside the hospital for the rest of the 30 days. We cried a little because of the fear of the unknown, but for the most part he was in good spirits. This was July 7th, 2018. From that date, to February 7th, 2019, Davey was fighting like he has never fought in his life. There were tears, fever, nausea, fungus, fatigue, sores, no taste, no smell, no appetite, fear, ICU, and like a caged animal, he climbed out of that cage with so much strength! With so much determination, he was “Cancer Free” on February 7th, 2019. One month before we would see them in Puerto Vallarta. Another thing he was determined to do. This slight inconvenience was over! We could celebrate NO MORE CANCER! David was cancer free for a year, and he went in for a normal check up. The doctor ordered a bone marrow aspirate. The cancer was back. David found out just a few weeks before vacation to Puerto Vallarta. He told the Dr that he will be going on vacation. The plan was to get back in the hospital when he returned. March 10, 2020, was the day the slight inconvenience, and fight of all fights began again. Chemo for 7 days, and hospital stay for 30 days. After the chemo, David will get a bone marrow transplant. That procedure comes with a lot of unknowns also. I started this site for David and Peggy because David is not working, and it is unknown when he will be able to work. He owns his own business, so he doesn’t have unemployment. Peggy is not working because of the COVID pandemic. David would never ever ask anyone for anything. I know that the cost of all of this for the 2nd time has to be overwhelming. Insurance does not cover a lot of things when you are fighting cancer. David is the hardest working, selfless, caring person I know. He would do anything for you and ask for nothing in return. I know that the world is turned upside down right now, but David needs your help. If you can spare anything to help, it will be so much appreciated. Let’s show him that he doesn’t have to fight alone! Thank you!
