Help Sofia to fight Infantile Scoliosis

My 3 years old daughter is fighting Progressive Infantile Scoliosis and we are making it together! We found a treatment called Mehta Casting (w/no surgery). A nice doctor from Mayo Clinic took us there for a 1 time application (she needs 4 more) and her spine curvature was reduced from 50° to 35° and she is doing a lot of progress.

We sent her doctor to the Cincinnati Children's Hospital to be trained by Dr Peter Sturm (another successful experience) and we are working really hard to bring this life saving technique to our country "Peru" and all we need now is to buy the special frame that is made in the US.

This training was possible Thanks to ISOP - The Infantile Scoliosis Outreach Program (www.infantilescoliosis.org) who helped facilitate and organize the
hands-on training tutorial in Cincinnati for our doctor.

We have set up a Paypal account to receive donations. Once we reach our goal (USD 12,500) we will buy the frame and will send it to "Hogar Clinica San Juan de Dios" the biggest Charity Hospital in Peru where my daughter and many other kids could receive the same treatment here in Peru.

Mehta Casting has the real potential to save children life...the same way it is doing it now with Sofía.

My name is Heather Hyatt Montoya and Im the Founder of the Infantile Scoliosis Outreach Program (ISOP). We are the only registered charity (501 3 c) in the world dedicated to providing a life saving cure to infants & young children with scoliosis. Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine that can progress rapidly in infants and is considered the only life threatening condition in pediatric orthopedic medicine. Mr. Egues (Sofia's Father) raised the necessary funds to send a Peruvian surgeon to the U.S. for hands-on training at the Crawford Spine Center at the Childrens Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, by one of the most experienced infantile scoliosis experts in the U.S. This took place on Jan. 15-16 2013 and we are one step away from making this a reality for children in Peru.
Our next goal is to raise $ for the equipment needed to apply the procedure ($9,100 shipping). This equipment will not only save the life of Mr. Egues's daughter Sofia, but it will also ensure that all children in Peru with this life threatening condition have access to this gentle & permanent cure. The Noel EDF Cast Frame will help save the lives of many children in Peru and ISOP would like to do whatever necessary to help Mr. Egues bring this cure to his child and the children in his country.
