Welcome! Thank you for visiting! This is the place to donate to the Annie Lippitt Scholarship Fund.

Anne-Monique graduated Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas, NV in June of 2010. She served as the school student council president her senior year and the class president for each of three previous grades. That is a very rare accomplishments and one in which we are very proud for her. In addition, she lettered on the varsity swim team all four years. For two years, she was the frequent anchor on the Spring Valley TV daily news shows. And to go even further for the school, she help start the pep squad called the Blue Crew. It is a rare student who LOVED her school as much as Anne-Monique.

On October 12, 2012, Anne-Monique was coming home from Southern Utah University to be with me on my birthday. She got into a fairly serious car accident and was Life Flighted to UMC hospital, located in Las Vegas. She was talking and responding to the doctor upon arrival. To date, that has been the last conversation my daughter has had.

Because the doctor didn't think Anne-Monique had serious injuries, he didn't put a bolt inside her brain to monitor her Inner Cranial Pressure (ICP). As a result, using inefffective monitoring devices such as blood pressure and a heart monitor, they had no idea Anne-Monique suffered a massive bleeding incident inside her brain that quickly and very tragically cut off oxygen to her brain. in the span of as few as five minutes to a maximun of nearly an hour (no knows for sure), she became virtually brain dead. It has been a living nightmare ever since.

Over time, she has developed her ability to smile and laugh, and eat on her own without the assistance of a feeding tube. Unfortunately she is unable to comprehend most of what is said to her. In addition, due to a huge contracture in her left leg, she can't straighten her leg to walk or even stand.

The tragedy has dramatically affected our whole family. I can't even begin to tell you how painful this has been. It is parent's worst nightmare.

It is also a text book example of medical malpractice, but the hospital by Nevada Revised Statute can't be held responsible by more than 50,000 dollars. As a result, no lawyer will take the case.

But life goes on. In Anne-Monique's memory, we have established a scholarship fund to assist a student council/ student athlete from Spring Valley High School in their pursuit of higher education.

This is where you can help.

I believe that Anne-Monique would really appreciate and deeply love a scholarship in her name for this purpose.

Please give whatever you can to this worthy cause. Thank you in advance for any donation!
