Help Save Baloo

Baloo is 13 1/2 weeks old and the love of my sons life besides his fiance. Baloo was rushed to the emergency vet this past weekend and has a genetic congenital defect.

He has something called portosystemic shunt.

This is where there is an abnormality in the abdomen where there is a vein that goes through and bypasses the liver where all of the toxins would normally be filtered out and goes directly to the heart and back into the blood stream. At the emergency vet over the weekend where they started him on an antibiotic and flushed all of the toxins out of his body.  He now needs a surgery in about ten days to close off the shunt and return the blood flow back into the liver so it can properly be filtered. The surgery and expenses with be around 5700.00 The money will go directly to the vet for baloos surgery, care and medicine. If he doesnt have the surgery he might live a year but if he does he will have a normal life.
