Mission Trip to visit God's Kids, Africa

I have a dream and in order to make it a reality, I am going to need your prayer and financial support! Let me explain:
I have had a strong pull toward Africa since Cloe was about 2 years old. In December of 2011, I got a chance to meet two young men from Liberia. Their stories of growing up in war, conflict, and breakdown of business and community as well as the hardship of young girls there, often uneducated and forced to rely upon "boyfriends" living expenses. When I heard of this, my heart broke for the girls who are put in such difficult situations. Last year, I took a class entitled "Children and War" and its content made me aware of the privilege that I have been given by being born into this country with the right to simple things such as a primary education, the right to say "no", and the right to be safe.
This year, I have decided go and serve with Godskids.org in Liberia, Africa for three weeks in July. I can't imagine a better birthday gift than the opportunity to serve orphans and trafficked victims in West Africa. I researched organizations that are already established in Monrovia and found two really great ones that I will be working with while I'm there: God's Kids (where I will spend most of my time, visiting many of their 8 orphanages) and Orphan Relief and Rescue. I have been in communication with representatives from both of these organizations and am pleased to be able to serve with them!
This opportunity to spread the word, love, and comfort of God is something I know you value. Please consider partnering with me in my efforts, first, by praying for me, my journey, and the children in Monrovia, Liberia and, secondly, by making a donation that will enable me to minister in this intimate way. I know God will bless you for your generosity to His children::and that includes me!
I have recently taken up photography and look forward to filming and photographing my experience and I look forward to sharing it with you after I return, further increasing awareness of what is going on in Liberia and how we can all help to be a part of the solution.
