Becca Klein's Fight Join The Battle

Hi, this is Becca’s Tribe and Becca is in the fight of her life. First we realize there is so much need right now so we are asking for long term consideration and we support everyone suffering right now. This week we found out that Becca has metastasized breast cancer. Many of you know, our friend is quite the warrior - having gone through breast cancer in 2015/2016 and then a thyroid cancer diagnosis in 2017. This new diagnosis means that the breast cancer has stopped reacting to the tamoxifen and has moved to her bones. After two weeks of tests, doctors verified that it has moved to her skull and two places in her back. That said, Becca has been diagnosed with a chronic illness that has no cure (as of yet - we are always hopeful for advances in technology) and will have to be managed. They are putting her on oral chemotherapy which will hopefully start next Tuesday (it takes a week to get it all figured out with her insurance because it's a five figure dollar drug.) She will have two pills to take and an injection . Then she will be going to the oncologist every two weeks to manage her body's reaction to the drugs and follow up. We know that Becca and her family are trying their best to look at this as a "glass half full" situation instead of a glass half empty. But given the current climate we ALL find ourselves in, this is very difficult. Her immune system is going to be the biggest concern once she starts on the treatment. And given COVID-19, more so. On top of the chemo treatment, medical co-pays, and regular trips to the doctor, there are going to be additional lifestyle changes that will require financial support . Becca’s whole diet is going to have to change as well, which is not going to be cheap (to start eating 100% clean/organic and free from processed food). If you know Becca, you know that she is probably the most selfless person you will ever meet. She never hesitates to go above and beyond for those in need. And she gives her whole heart to others in all that she does. She has volunteered her time to organize events for women in recovery, events that bring kids out to experience fly fishing, and so much more. It is humbling for her to have to ask for support from our community, which is where her close friends are coming in and why we are reaching out to you. Please, if you can, pay forward the kindness that I’m certain Becca has shown you at one point or another. Even if you’re unable to contribute to this fundraiser for Becca, we ask that you please keep her and her family in your prayers.
