North Bay Taxi Relief Fund

I've worked as a dispatcher for North Bay Taxi, Inc. in Marin County, CA, for nearly 18 years. I'm writing today to ask for your support, in keeping our lights on and our taxis on the road.   We are a 53-person transportation company which is currently considered a "necessary" business.  At no time in our history as a company has it become more apparent, as it is now. We've been operating from San Rafael for nearly twenty years! We take pride in our customer service, and our collective experience.  At this time, a great number of our customers are elderly, disabled, or students with special needs.  We work closely with County agencies, both social services and transportation, as well as with many of the medical facilities in our area.   Today we are a lifeline for those most vulnerable, while so many are living within the restrictions of California's "Shelter in Place" regulations.  We are transporting people to and from the local hospitals, to the markets and the pharmacies.  We are delivering food and medicines to people who cannot or should not leave their homes.  We continue to take people to the Airporter stops and to the airports. We are now faced with a decision : do we try to keep operating, or do we close our doors and park our cabs for an indefinite period of time? I'm hoping, that with some community support, we can keep our service available to all, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as we have faithfully done the past twenty years. I know we are all feeling the pain of this time in our history, in a multitude of ways. Please help only if you are able.  Any little amount would be very much appreciated.
