Support for Daniel Yaklin and family

Donation protected
On January 25th, after only a few hours of flu like symptoms, Daniel Yaklin was rushed to the hospital via ambulance, with an extremely high fever and disorientation. Within hours he was put into a medically induced coma and on a ventilator as doctors began the tireless search for what could be making him so terribly sick.

The suspicions of meningitis or other bacterial infections of the brain and central nervous system were ruled out when the source of the problem was discovered.
An aggressive bacterial infection took place within the atrial valve in his heart, causing the valve to deteriorate very rapidly, entering his blood stream and spreading pieces of the valve, along with the bacteria, into his brain and throughout his body.

He was transferred to Cleveland clinic in an ICU equipped ambulance, as the weather wouldn't allow for a helicopter flight, and is now there awaiting heart surgery to replace the infected valve.

The severity of this infection has caused Daniel to suffer strokes and his brain has been damaged from them, but as of right now there's no way to know to what extent. After surgery, and recovery, the therapy will be able to begin to assess the damage that has occurred.

This roller coaster has had many ups and downs. Within hours of extremely positive news, Dan's family has then received very devastating news, just to turn around to more hope. We all believe that miracles will continue to take place until Dan is well again. We are uniting in prayer for Daniel.

Dan is 33. He's a son, a brother, a cousin, a friend, and most of all a husband and a Daddy to a sweet, baby girl. This has all happened so rapidly and so unexpectedly, seeing as how he was a perfectly healthy young man up until hours before this nightmare began. Dan is the sole provider for his family, and has responsibly cared for them in every way he can. Now, the future is unknown and this page has been set up to help.

Please consider donating, in any amount, to help take care of all the expenses the Yaklins will now be faced with, as well as the day to day needs of Magda and Evie while Dan is still hospitalized and fighting to get well.

Dan and Magda are truly the most generous people you will ever meet. They have many times given more than they even could, in faith that because they're giving in love, they will be taken care of. Now it's our turn. Let's all give, in love, and see this incredible man return to his family without the burden of finances hovering over them as he heals.

Thank you. God Bless You.
