Joe's Inn the Fan Employee Relief Fund

Here at Joe’s Inn, we are a family that includes our employees, their families, and our regulars- an awesome group that we are so lucky to have. On Monday, due to the current public health crisis surrounding COVID-19, we, like so many other restaurants in our tight-knit dining community, were forced to lay off the majority of our staff- both front- and back-of-house. Many of our customers have reached out to ask what they can do to help, and in response to that we have created a GoFundMe where 100% of all proceeds will go directly to the staff that was let go. Any help is most appreciated and we look forward to the day when we can all gather in the Joe's dining room or at the bar again, as we have since 1952. (3/26/2020)A little edit so ya'll know exactly who I am. My name is Lars, Joe's Inn has been a part of my whole life. My mom started waiting tables at Joe's back in 1985, shortly after I was born.  Fast forward a few years; my mom still works at Joe's, and is now a part owner. I have been working for the restaurant for thirteen years. I love everything about Joe's. The staff, the regulars, the food, the low lighting and wood paneling, all make Joe's Inn the best restaurant in the world.  When most of the staff was told they were being laid off due to COVID-19, my heart wrenched. I got to keep my job, but so many others did not. Almost every employee relies on Joe's as a steady source of income, some have been doing so for 20+ years.  This GoFundMe is going to help each one of those people. Your donations matter immensely, and 100% of this fund will be delivered to each employee who was laid off.  We implemented a free meal per day for every one who works at the restaurant, and those who were laid off.
