Help Michael Walk Again

Hi, my name is Gabby Alvarez. My boyfriend Michael Elliott was in a horrible car wreck in December 2011. He suffered a TBI and was in a coma for 21 days. Doctors gave him 3% chance to live and they said if he did live, he would never talk, sit up or walk on his own again. He beat all the odds. He now completes almost all daily activities on his own. The last step in his recovery is to learn to walk again. He can walk with a walker and assistance for multiple people, but the only thing stopping him from walking on his own is his tremors. They are so severe, they cause him to lose his balance when he stands up. So as of now he is in a wheelchair. We have worked almost 3 years since I have been with him to try every treatment possible. We have gone to surgeons, neurologist and no amount of medicine is decreasing the tremors. We have been researching laser therapy and we have seen such success in it with others. We are trying to get Michael into a Dr. In Austin, TX that does the laser therapy. They only problem is insurance will not cover this type of treatment. We will be paying out of pocket of the treatment. The initial consultation is $300, the remaining is $100 per laser therapy session. We are trying to get 6 sessions for him. To meet a total of $900. Michael is currently living off SSI and funds are very limited for him. Please help us fulfill his dream of walking again.
