Cal’s Flood Fundraiser

On Sunday 9th February, storm Ciara hit Yorkshire and deeply affected my good friend Cal Faulds. Cal owns a barber shop in Mytholmroyd, which he has worked extremely hard on over the past 2 years to build it up to the stature it was at, he has put in countless hours and spent countless amounts of money on making it the best environment for his clientele. Due to the storm, Faulds Babers was destroyed by the floods, Cal has encountered thousands upon thousands of pounds worth of damage. The damage was extensive and includes damages to Sun beds, Barbers chairs and barbering equipment. With himself and his employees unable to work the strain on Cal is enormous, and the financial hardship grows. Due to Faulds Barbers being in an area notorious for floods, he was unable to get insurance to cover for this, making this disaster so much worse for him.
