Hello my name is Sheena, and I'm trying to help my mom. Today is my mom's 64th birthday, and all I would love to do is help her purchase her first home. She's been living in her house for 15 1/2 years, a rent to own. After 15 years of paying rent, working very hard, she's been given the option to purchase. Unfortunately we recently found out nothing that her and my father have put into this home goes toward the purchase. Now my husband and I are trying our best to help her, while taking care of our own finances. Working two jobs, having one day, if lucky enough, two days off to spend with our family.
Back in November of last year my mom got laid off to take care and be with my dad in the hospital. Sadly on January 19th we lost my dad. He had been in and out of the hospital since December 2018. Back in 2008 my father was diagnosed with kidney failure, and was limited to actives he could do. He had been on dialysis for 10 years and being diabetic he went through alot.
Since then my mom has not been able to go back to work due to covid and being at high risk. My husband and I decided to work two jobs so we could support our family and have my mom stay home with her grand daughter's. She's enjoyed every minute of being home with them.
So I'm hoping to make this a good birthday for her and help her in any way I can. She's always been there for others, she's always been strong, and supportive. I hope one day I could do the same for her.
