Ken Westlund USMA 1981 Recovery Fund

My friend and classmate Ken Westlund “USMA 1981” suffered a debilitating stoke that affects his entire left side last Wednesday. He had just posted a photo with his grandson on FB the previous day. He is going to be in a lengthy recovery due to the complications associated with the onset and nature of this sudden medical condition. Your financial donations to help in his recovery and whatever he and his wife Barbara may need during this difficult time, would be greatly appreciated so they may be able to focus on Ken’s recovery from this stroke. Here is her latest update on Ken: "Thank you. Ken and I appreciate so much any help. Ken was able to move his left leg a few inches today which was great to see! He’s trying very hard to keep a positive attitude. Ken has a warrior spirit and is fighting hard to get his left side moving! They are trying to find an inpatient rehab facility that closer to Williamsburg that has a bed and takes our insurance so he can hopefully be moved this weekend. Before I got your message last night I was listening to the group Voiceplay singing Bridge Over Troubled Water. Beautiful song that I’ve always loved but I lay there crying because I realized that i didn’t know where to turn for that. Your message popped up at that moment and all of Ken’s efforts over the years to explain the long gray line made sense and I felt hope for the first time since Tuesday. God bless you."
