Wayfind Scholar paralyzed from Gunshot To Spine

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year, my son, Chrishaun Hough (pronounced like ‘tough’) was spending time with family when he was shot in a drive-by shooting. His cousin, my nephew, was murdered - Chrishaun paralyzed. Our lives changed forever.


This time has been very challenging for Chrishaun and our family. Since his discharge from hospital in March, he’s been back to the hospital several times. The introduction of the pandemic didn’t help. 


Through these challenging times, Chrishaun still remains determined and hopeful. As a Wayfind Scholar, Chrishaun has the opportunity to attend Wingate University and receive a full tuition scholarship after graduating high school and being accepted. He would love to be a futre bulldog. He’s also very dedicated to physical therapy, and determined he will walk again one day. 


Due to my own health issues, I am unable to work and receive disability. 


We have started this GoFundMe to raise funds and support for Chrishaun’s varying needs during this time. Any donations and contributions you can make are beyond appreciated. He is also in need of other things like clothes, medical supplies, hygiene products, etc.
