Hanna Fam Sewer Emergency

Help! We've had a sewer backup due to a broken main that needs replaced in our 91 year old house! Not having use of toilet, shower, sinks, sump pump, washer, ect. with our 2 kids (1 & 8 yrs) has not only disrupted our routine, but forces us to live apart at separate friends/family until we can replace the main sewer line (at over $3,660). The stories of working class families barely subsisting, who face losing everything when unexpected financial disasters happen is a reality many of us are aware of by way of our own experiences, experience of our neighbors/friends/family, and/or the striking data of how precarious working class finances are in our economic landscape. Those familiar with our family know we promote mutual aid and good will to the community and larger world, not just through the words and lessons we teach our children, but through the deeds and actions of supporting anyone in need through neighboring apps, community fundraising, organizing in service of the masses of people who face these realities and worse everyday. Trust when I say that these efforts make a difference and are wholly dependent on the effort individuals like you make.
