Climbing Sparkle Mountain, A Mission For Health

In 2017 I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. After spending nearly 2 years working with holistic and naturopathic methods I gave into radiation and surgery. I thought I had reached a cure. Around 10 months after the surgery to remove my tumor another has been found growing in the exact same place. Hearing “the biopsy has tested positive for cancer “ a 2nd time felt like my guts were being ripped out. It’s hard enough knowing the struggle that lay ahead, the heavy decisions, the sacrifice of quality of life but to be welcoming a new year, ANOTHER new year where I won’t be working and supporting myself becomes hard to accept. This is where I ask for your help. I need financial support to keep my bills paid, keep groceries in the fridge and to make sure I can get the medical care I need that insurance will not pay for. I’m currently going through chemo with the next step looking like more surgery. Each day seems to provide me with a little more challenge aka feeling a little more horrible or like I have a hangover. Headache, nausea, upset stomach... This sucks I’ve chosen “Climbing Sparkle Mountain “ as the title for this because this is a long slow journey. I have no idea what’s around each corner. Moving forward and marching on through exhaustion is part of the daily. And just when you think you’re at the top you realize you have much more to climb. I will find joy in the struggle, I will find comfort in my journey and I will never stop trying to have a good time, even in rough conditions. This mountain is big and at times scares me.
