Vet Bills For Zeldas Elbow Dysplasia Surgery

Hi all. My 9-month-old rescued pittie, Zelda, has been diagnosed with elbow dysplasia. We mistakenly didn’t have her covered under a pet insurance plan before the symptoms started. We were expecting a bill from 1-3k but were quoted 4,000 to 4,400. She’s going into surgery today (Jan. 21) and we just got the price quote. We are receiving a military discount of 10% (my mom is medically retired navy) which has brought the quote down a few hundred. However, it is still very high. I am a college student and my mom is funding me, my 9-year-old cousin, and my other dog who is epileptic. Money is tight, to say the least. We never expected this otherwise healthy pup to have these issues and did not plan accordingly. Anything you could give would help tremendously. We really appreciate it. If we manage to raise any extra it would all go towards her post-surgery care (medicine and hydrotherapy)
