Barangay Kitchen - Taal Volcano Response

I'm back in the Philippines - home to every natural disaster known to man (and unnatural ones from time to time). On the heals of some typhoons of note in just since December, the Taal Volcano is now active on high alert and has spewed ash for miles around. Tens of thousands of residents have been forced to evacuate to safety. As is normal for evacuations, families take refuge at schools, recreation centers, and other designated shelters in the hundreds at each location. It's actually inspiring to see how giving and active fellow Filipinos are in mobilizing and getting supplies to less fortunate, as if routine to respond after disaster. However, as is always the case in major evacuations, there are needs that are hard to meet, and people often subside on the very minimum, relying on the generosity of strangers. I was able to contact some people who are already making distributions, and of course I want to help with food. We found one evacuation center with 595 people for whom I intend to provide a meal. I have already gotten a couple of friends who want to help, so now I ask for assistance with funding. You may know I like a challenge, so here we go! Thank you in advance if you can help. I'm only here in town for a few days, so a quick response will determine what I am able to provide. All monies raised will go toward food and land transportation to site.
