Sandy Relief Mission Trip

Dear Friends and Family,
I have the opportunity to serve with a non-profit christian group called Adventures in Missions this March for a week long trip doing Hurricane Sandy Relief. Our trip will be from March 17th -22nd in the Brooklyn area of New York. We will be serving the community, assisting families, clearing out flooded homes, and helping in any way that presents itself.
Although this unfortunate event happened back in October, the community is still in need of assistance with their relief efforts. In Governor Cuomo's State of the State address on January 9th, he says, "Sandy alone was responsible for 60 deaths to date and more than $30 billion in damage in New York State." This damage isn't repaired overnight. Governor Cuomo is still fighting for Congress to deliver the aid New Yorkers have been waiting to receive.
I am asking for your help with this trip in any way you feel you can give. I would greatly appreciate every prayer and word of encouragement you are able to send for the entire team and of course the people who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
For those who feel led to donate financially to this trip, I am sincerely grateful to you! I am in need of $1000 and every dollar counts! I will need to raise 75% of this amount by February 4th. Thank you so much for your generosity and if you would like to know more I would be very excited to share with you!
I will also be holding a couple of fundraisers here in Riverside. The first is a benefit concert with the help of my great friends Walter Cabal and Derrick Sanderlin. We will be receiving donations there as well as selling homemade goods. The show will be on Friday, February 1st, 7pm at Crest Community Church, 3431 Mount Vernon Avenue, Riverside, Ca 92507.
The second is a Yard Sale at my home on Saturday February 2nd. We will be accepting donations the week prior if you feel led to donate in that way. The sale begins at 7am but we will be here all day! Feel free to come by and browse!
I am very excited to share the love of God with those affected by Hurricane Sandy and I hope I can count on your prayers and support.
