Gaby’s Road To Recovery
Donation protected
Gaby went for a regular walk around her neighborhood in the early evening of January 6, when she was hit by a reckless driver. She was transported to trauma at Memorial Regional Hospital and kept in ICU for 4 days. The road to recovery is long. As a result of the accident, she had a bleeding spleen, bruised kidney, and a collapsed lung for which she needed a stent. Gaby has a fractured clavicle, a fractured sacrum, a fractured foot and fractured toes. She’s covered in hematomas and bruises, cuts and road-rash related injuries. She will be in the hospital for a while and then transferred home, but not until she’s able to move on her own, which could be another couple of weeks, at least. After that, she’ll have months of physical therapy, ongoing medical bills and periods of loss wages and supplemental pay she relies on. Gaby appreciates the phone calls, texts, messages, visits, and will definitely appreciate the financial support she will need in a time like this. No help is too small. On her behalf, and on behalf of her family, I thank you.
