Florence Obado Funeral Fund

Donation protected
Please share in your loving memories, and kindly assist with donations for our beautiful Mother Queen Angel, Florence Obado who passed away so suddenly in a tragic accident, and whose pretty wings have been summoned up to heaven alongside our Lord’s throne, and next to her loving daughter, our sister, Victoria Akinyi Obado. Sadly, we lost Florence Obado on the morning of January 3rd 2019 as she was working a job she loved passionately, caring for individuals with significant disabilities who are medically fragile, helping them assimilate in their communities through various programs, and promoting inclusivity. A mother, a sister, a grandmother called Dani, an auntie, a cousin, a relative, a dear friend, a colleague, an acquaintance, Florence wore many hats lovingly accommodating those around her. She loved to cook and cater to any and everybody who stepped a foot into her home. “You want some Tea? Mandazi? Chapati? Kuon? Sukuma?” We are collecting funds to aid with home going funeral services for Florence and any assistance and donations will be helpful with organizing necessary funeral arrangements. An estimate of $50,000 is needed to send Florence back to Kenya to the home of her dreams that she built from the ground up. Please consider the funeral home, Repass, flight and ground transportation expenses, and the burial as well as the transport of immediate family members as part of this estimated goal. We are so thankful for the outpour of the support, kind words, hugs, tears, condolences and LOVE we have received so far and thank you in advance for your continued love and support. Please help us and share with your network so we can provide our Queen with a proper send off. We request to please share this effort (Link) via email, word of mouth, WhatsApp, text message, in your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram timelines, and via any other medium of choice. Scripture from the Book of Revelation 14:13: Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.”
