A Calico Needs Help!

Hi all, Back in August of 2019, I adopted an adorable calico kitten, Poppy, as a friend for the cat I already had, Portobello. They have grown together to be loving friends and sources of infinite joy in my home. Poppy hasn’t been doing well for the past few weeks. We took her to the vet today and the results are grim. She’s very anemic, only 6% of her blood is red blood cells. It should be at 40%. We’re doing testing to find out the root cause, but she needs a transfusion if she is going to survive. These are quite expensive and require particular veterinary facilities. For that reason, I’m asking for support from the community.
