Harlan Sage

On Saturday evening, December 22, 2019, Tiffany brought Harlan to Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, NE because they had been noticing he was having troubles with his balance and some slurring speech, and they were continuing to get worse. After a long night full of tests, they were informed that Harlan has a tumor deep in his brain. 
     On Sunday morning, the neurosurgeon determined that the tumor was inoperable and decided that the next step to would be to do a biopsy of the tumor to determine what it is and what caused it.  The biopsy was preformed on the evening of December 23rd and samples were sent to two separate labs. All of his wonderful family and the great staff at Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff have been taking great care of him.
     We received preliminary results on December 30th and our fears were confirmed. Harlan has Glioblastoma multiforme which is a brain cancer that does not respond well to chemo. His prognosis is 12 months.
