Sweet Rescue Bulldog needs Costly Surgery

On December 19th, I got a text about a young bulldog in need of a foster home due to an owner surrender. Was happy to oblige because we all need help at times and after all, I got my perfect boy from the same rescue. While introducing Tank, the foster to my pup, I immediately noticed one of his hind legs not fully functioning and muscles looking atrophied. This is in addition to being severely underweight (for a bulldog) and unkept. Next day at the vet’s, my fears were realized, Tank has a full ACL tear in his left hind leg and a partial tear in the other! Per the surgical estimate, it will be about $6,000 to get him back to 100% and living pain free. That includes surgeries on both legs, physical therapy and meds. Currently, the rescue cannot foot the bill so I am helping to raise the funds on my own. Meanwhile, Tank gets pain meds twice a day. Lots of love and kisses. When feeling safe, Tank is a happy, sweet and fabulously drooly bulldog who just wants to lay his head in my lap and get his chest scratched. Please help if you can, even if it is a buck!
