My Fathers Transplant And Medical Bills

My father has been diagnosed with advanced liver disease. He is unable to work and cannot walk. Right now he is fighting for his life. His only chance at survival is a liver transplant, and I have already raised my hand as the willing donor. Without me he has a 30% chance to survive 3 months. I am currently 23 years old and I’m an air traffic controller in the navy. I was forward deployed in Japan when I received this news. Since I have been home I have been taking care of my father day in and day out. No other immediate family members live in Houston to help me care for him. This has left me with having to make hard medical and financial decisions. Very soon I will have to sell his house, only after emptying his bank accounts to pay for his medical bills. Liver transplants can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and I want to try and prevent everything my dad has worked for In his life from being sold. Just because you get sick doesn’t mean you should lose everything you’ve worked for. Any amount donated helps tremendously.
