Raising Money To Help Unpaid Medical Expenses

As you all know, my beautiful Mother Michele's fight for her health started years back beginning with her legs.. My mother always fought through and worked no matter how she felt, and did so to take care of all of us! Anybody who knows my mother knows she has one of the biggest hearts, and has taken on many people as part of her own family and has helped anybody she could as much as she could even when she couldn't and shouldn't have. There were many people who used to to call her hair salon their home, and my mother would have never wanted it any other way... In fact there's many times she tells me she misses it! although it's time for her to take care of herself. On April 23rd my mother went into an emergency room in Rockland County where we live, Good Samaritan Hospital and was quickly transferred over to Westchester Medical Center because she was septic and an infection had spread throughout her entire body due to a clogged gallbladder bile duct. Mom went through multiple surgeries in one week she had close to 9 surgeries consecutively one after another they left her abdomen opened in between each surgery to "wash out" the infection, and she withstood all this while being on machines to keep her going and sedated in support of her life. Despite their small percentage of hope for her to make it through, she defied the odds and walked (well rolled out, she couldn't walk due to muscle atrophy from being on life support and in a hospital bed for all those months) she made it through and was doing wonderfully in the physical rehabilitation center in Valhalla they admitted her to, The Grove At Valhallah. Just like thay my mom was back!!!! I was laughing, once again my phone rang every hour on the hour and I got to talk to her all day long. As some of you may not be aware of my mother was discharged with an ileostomy bag which is roughly the same thing as a colostomy bag, which as we all know nothing close to comfortable! she was miserable with this thing on! The doctor told her it was not permanent and after 6 Months that she could have It reversed. After 6 months went by she went for a follow-up with the surgeon and asked if they would reverse it.. She got clearance from every doctor needed to in fact her results were all perfect. So they cleared her for surgery which if it was up to me I would not have had her go through with this.. At least not now, it hasn't even been a year after all she had been through.. All we wanted was our mom to come home and be home with us for some time. The excitement we had inside just to have her home for a few hours on Thanksgiving was like children on Christmas morning. Our biggest fear was she was going to go into the surgery and not make it out.. Now she has had the surgery and of course upon opening her up they found quite a few things that needed to be addressed, so once again they left her abdomen open and said that they would open her up again on Monday. After this surgery yesterday my brother and I get a phone call explaining that things did not go as well as they wanted them to, after I hung up with my uncle I called the hospital myself and ask to speak with the surgeon to get a better understanding of what exactly was going on.. Our mother has an infection because her intestines were nicked upon opening her abdomen, her intestines had been attached to her stomach after her last surgery, and the surgeon was unaware of this. Stomach Skin is dying on her abdomen they are cleaning that out and removimg lower parts of her intestines and have her in critical care again intubated and on machines to keep her sedated and able to rest. What is going to happen from here is up to God and my mother's will to fight. They have to operate on her again tomorrow and I am terrified to even think of the worst case scenario. My heart hurts so much that I wish I could take it out of my chest and stomp on it! Just a few days ago we were laughing hysterically hanging out together at the nursing home talking about all the fun things we were going to do when she came home, to think of this HUGE part of my life not being there anymore hurts terribly. I am trying to think positive and remember how strong she is in the meantime, I have created a go fund me to raise money for the enormous stack of medical bills that she has for unpaid portions of her treatment, as well as to help with things she needs in order to get better and can't afford. Bills have piled up and despite our efforts, we cannot afford all she needs rite now. Any help is greatly appreciated, please pray for our family so we can all be together and happy again.
