CORE - Children Of Revolutionary Empowerment

My name is Mike Africa, Jr. I’m a member of the MOVE Organization and the son of Mike and Debbie Africa. In 1978 I was secretly born in a Philadelphia jail cell following a vicious police attack on my family’s home under the Rizzo administration. My parents were recently released from prison after 40 years. As the son of my revolutionary parents, my mission is to carry the baton and further the message of John Africa and other freedom fighters by telling our stories.
In the history of the world we have never had more of an opportunity to tell our stories like we do now. Revolution creates change and change starts with education. For nearly 30 years of solid activism I’ve been educating through music and public speaking. Since 2019 I’ve added the power of film to my methods.
Currently I am working with a crew of very talented filmmakers on my new 8-part documentary series “Children Of Revolutionary Empowerment – (CORE).” CORE is designed to show through the eyes of their children the positive impact that revolutionaries have had on people.
CORE highlights the people that gave up their freedom to make a better world for us while simultaneously lending support to their plight by exposing their stories to a wider audience.
I am excited to share that the series has a treatment, deck page and a budget. The funding needed to complete the series is +/-$1M. Your contribution to “CORE” is very much appreciated. We cannot reach our goals without your support
On with struggle.
