Volunteer with Youth in South Africa

As a family, we have been accepted as a volunteer team in South Africa, working in July and August. Amoung other initiatives, International Volunteer HQ involves disadvantaged and homeless children in outreach recreation programs. We wiIl be helping youth participate in activities such as swimming, surfing, hiking and soccer. As well, we will be placed to help in local childcare centres with younger orphaned children.
I travel with a background in early childhood development, social work and psychology, with over twenty years of experience working with children and their families. Akasha travels with incredible patience and compassion. And Zoe travels with inexhaustible enthusiasm and passion. This will be our second volunteer trip in Africa (we spent time living and working in an orphanage in Uganda in 2007) so we already know that we make a dynamic team!
We need to raise $10,000 to cover program fees and airfare for the three of us. Your contributions will enable us to work with many children and we will do so with dedication and love. We extend our gratitude!
