Mr. Mambo Had An (Expensive) Emergency
Donation protected
Mr. Mambo is a very good boy, everyone who has met him knows this. Recently, Mambo was taken to an emergency veterinarian because he was experiencing obvious, intense pain; Mambo once walked around with a cracked tooth for days without showing it, so this was a major concern that required immediate attention. He was admitted to the hospital Sunday night and remained there until Wednesday evening. During this time he had a major operation to remove a mass on his liver which had ruptured, causing internal bleeding. He also received several blood transfusions, x-rays, an ultrasound, an EKG, and multiple medications. Luckily, Mambo pulled through and is back home, but he’s still not in the clear; the mass was sent off for biopsy and so his prognosis remains unknown, but he is a strong boy and we remain hopeful that he will give us all several more years of friendship.
Unfortunately, this was a serious situation requiring extensive medical care and came entirely unexpected; such care does not come cheap and any assistance that friends of Mambo would be able to provide is extremely helpful and appreciated.
