Hey there, my name is Rhiannon. I am active duty Army and live on Fort Gordon. A few friends and I have taken it upon ourselves (DPW and Housing won’t do it...) to trap the strays in our neighborhood to get spayed and neutered. The kitties that are too feral to adjust to living with people will be released back outside, and the kittens that do adjust are going to loving homes. So far 1 boy is neutered and ready to go to a good home and the other boy will be neutered friday. The girls spays will be done on the 15th. We are hoping to help offset the cost and whatever we have left over after we get these cats fixed will either go to other cats, donated to the local humane society or donated to That's What Friends Are For Rescue to help with the cost of other spay/neuters that they get messages for. So far we have a black medium coat (DMH) kitten (we have named Nyx) that is around 6 monts old. She also seems to have injured her back. We had a vet look at it and after meds/rest it is still bothering her so now our next step for her is xray to make sure everything is ok. The kitten we call Athena is a Tabby. Although she is shy she warms up to people slowly. One of our males is named Hercules. He is a white and brown DSH and is around 5 months old. He will be neutered on friday. Our available kitten Apollo is a very cuddly white and grey DSH and is about 3 months old. Our last kitten is Artemis. She is around 3 months old and looks to be a sibling of Hercules. She is also white and grey DSH We currently are low on funds and unable to afford the spaying and vetting of them, unfortunately. Hopefully y’all can help!!! No donation is to small.
