Imagine you are a happily married woman and mother to a handsome 10 yr. old prince. You work a full time job and your strapping husband works fulltime too. You're living your happily ever after. But one day a horrific monster swoops in and attacks your husband, robbing him of his strength, his body weakened by the sneaky attack. Its up to you now... and only you... to be mom... to keep the family fed...to care for your husband and little prince...to work full time...and part time... to pay bills on only your income......close your eyes and think about the staggering weight that would be on your own... imagine you are behind on your rent... there's just not enough of you to go around... can you feel it? I Wish this were just a horrible dream, but its not. My friend is living this nightmare. The monster? Cancer.... it has attacked her husband and he can no longer work. Christmas you ask? She can't even think about that because she has to somehow keep a roof over their head on her income alone. Has she complained... not once... but I see it in her eyes... in her fatigue... in her mommy heart, wanting to just keep things together for her family. Why have I written this? Because she needs us NOW to pull together to help. If 35 of my friends could donate $20 or 70 of my friends donate $10, we could pay her late rent from last month and bring them current.
