On January 10, 2013, my father Jeffrey Kerouac passed away peacefully in his sleep. He had been battling illness for quite some time before that, but was only 60; after having heart surgery, he wasn't expecting to be going so soon.
Expenses associated with his illness didn't allow him to leave money for a proper burial. My brother and I have pooled our resources to lay him to rest, but we can't fully afford even the least costly options available to us for this.
So we're humbly asking for your help.
Even if you didn't know our dad, any support you could offer would mean so much to Jerod and me.
We already have a burial plot for him. What we'll need is enough funds to cover his cremation, urn, interment, and the engraving of our family headstone. Costs for the cremation, urn, and recovery/holding need to be paid upfront ($2145), so even just to get those covered would help us to handle his departure with dignity and grace.
I wish I could offer reward levels for donations, but the best I can give is a teary hug and a grateful heart. Thank you so much for thinking of us at this difficult time.
