M.S. Is A Terrible Thing.

James Giesbrecht is my father, my father is a good man. He worked hard to provide for our family and give us what we needed throughout childhood. I'm hoping now that with a little bit of help I can provide a bit for him. He was diagnosed with  a very fast progressing form of Multiple Sclerosis. Over the last couple years my brother and I have watched our father go from bad to worse making things he loved like hunting, fishing and cooking, into difficult and often extremely frustrating  tasks. M.S. has taken away my dad's mobility and forced him into an early medical retirement when he fell off of his loader (due to the loss of muscle control) at the local sawmill he had worked at for 30 years previous. This fall did not cause any injury but launched an investigation into why it had happened, the result of course being Multiple Sclerosis. 


My brother Chris and I are hoping to, with the kindness and generosity of our friends and family and anyone else that may be feeling in a giving mood, raise some money for our dad. Life since the diagnosis has been financially devastating for him with M.S. treatment, and day to day bills and no real income. I would like to raise some money for him to help not only with the financial hardships but also to do a few home renovations to make life easier for him. (Handles in the bathroom, proper stairs at the entrance to his home etc.) So please folks if you are feeling genuinely generous please drop a buck or two in the jar for my father.
