Shawna Knights Crusade Against Cancer

My mom has been diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer for the third time since 2013 . She’s been fighting for her health for six solid years, has no family to rely on and has never asked for help. She runs the Buddha Box, a healthy, plant-based, locally sourced food truck. She is passionate about helping others change their health with amazing food and cares very deeply about her community and helping others. She’s faced multiple surgeries and radiation which has not left her cancer free and now is she is facing another go at it. She needs our help! I don’t want my mom to have to sell our family business to try and alleviate the financial burden of an Immune Therapy Clinic that she desperately needs to go to. I am reaching out to my community to embrace my mom and help support her like she has encouraged, nurtured and nourished so many others. She always finds a way to keep moving forward and keep my brother and I safe even when life throws the biggest challenges at her. Her positive, light hearted attitude, and sense of humour has always inspired me. But I don’t think she can “muscle” through this one alone. The clinic offers 23 alternative therapy’s not offered or available here and surgery, for the 3rd time is her only recommended path. She will go through these same steps again if she has to but needs to try anything and everything to end this battle once and for all. If there was a lottery for best mom, friend, sister, and neighbour, my mom wins. I’m appealing to everyone with an insatiable appetite for life, love, family and community to rally for her in this time of need. Thank you, so very much.
