Policer Officer,Mother and Friend

As a mother,grandmother and Sworn Law enforcement officer of (40) years Kim Spears aka:Mom has supporting others its in her nature but this past spring We all found out it was her that needed our support.(We) never would have expected it. Mom eats healthy and works out. When she told me, it devastated me. The questions soon followed,what kind,where at ,whats next.... etc etc.  My mother raised me and my sister and brother to be strong stand up and walk tall and look the world straight in the eyes kinda way. As kids we were by far well off but never went with out. I remember mom coming in from 3rd shift tired but always with a smile. She would try and nap in between chasing me around getting me and my sister  ready for school, breakfast then starting our day . Many times I've seen her come home lay down for a hour then right back up and out the door to pull a double. Mom worked very hard my whole life to make sure we had what we needed. Now well into my adult years things with her never slowed down ...she is a Police officer and loves what she does still to this day .She followed in the foot steps our family has taken for a long time now...her father also served as a Police officer for his entire life after getting out of the airforce,her daughter served a number of years on the force to untill becoming injured while on duty one night. Our Mom is the kind of women who always has time to stop and lend a hand to ppl. She has always had it in her heart and mind to make a difference to help others and has devoted her life to doing so with a flawless 40 year career . This illness (  Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma)stage4 aka Cancer has taken so much out of her,just last year we were having cook outs going out on the boat etc etc....you know normal family stuff now its hospital beds and doctors offices.  the treatment she requires and is taking is aggressive and  a fight we deal with everyday. with a new round of radiation and chemo starting up again soon in a few weeks with no definite time frame of an ending date. As many of you know (Because unfortunately many of you have either personally experienced or experienced the devastation of cancer through a friend, relative, or loved one) chemotherapy is an extremely disabling procedure and will dramatically impact Mom's  ability to care for her self .it's very hard to sit back and watch her struggle like she has been with bills car payments excetera  .  these are things that never were an issue in the past but co-pays missing weeks and weeks of work back to back with no end in sight has really taking a financial toll on our her.I have given all I can as well as my brother and sister and the rest of our family  I'm making this for her in hopes that some people may find it in their hearts to give back to someone who has given their life  long career in  the service of helping others .it breaks my heart to hear my mother talk about  normal day-to-day bills and even struggling to make the co-pays on all the medicine that she takes.  Her main worries and she says this to me all the time is that she doesn't want others to have to take care of her and that blows my mind because she has spent her entire life taking care of others .  Her home is in need of major repairs that couldn't have came at a worse time so I set my goal high and this in hopes that I can alleviate some stress for her and put her mind at ease and let her rest instead of still trying to work everyday I know it's a long shot but our families at our financial wit's end and would love nothing more than to see her mind at ease as she goes through this illness
