Thank you so much for the support you have already given. I was easily able to meet my $800 goal for January and with your support was able to send $1015, which puts me $215 into my next goal of $1200.
I appreciate all of the love, support and prayers that have already been, and continue to be, given. The more I learn about the girls that we are going to serve the more my heart breaks. I have been learning about the history of the country and am beginning to understand how things turned so terribly wrong. What I can't understand is why young girls are still being trafficked and forced to have sex for money. And I do mean young girls, 8 and 9 years old is not uncommon.
Unfortunately we lost a member of our group this month so we are down to nine women traveling to help serve at the Rapha House. This month we are having a bake sale and a Zumbathon to help raise funds and offset the costs of our mission trip to Cambodia. Thankfully not on the same day, not sure the Zumba-goers would appreciate the smell of baked goods while they are working up a sweat!
