Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on America’s Arts community, so we have designed a fun, engaging and rewarding way to give back to the kids in the community through the Arts. Your support, sharing this contest, and getting your kids involved will make this an incredible experience for kids near and far!
*1st Annual Acting Academy for Kids Talent Show!
Acting Academy for Kids will be holding its 1st annual talent show with an online virtual competition for students! Send in a song, a dance, a monologue, or any other talents you have! Submit your videos to us from July 15 to August 1. We will post all of our competitors’ videos on our website with a social media link for you to share with friends and family during our two week voting period. List who you’re voting for in your donation to have your vote counted! The votes will be tallied on August 15, so you will have two weeks to collect as many votes as you can!
*All contestants will be eligible to win a private masterclass with an industry professional.
*This contest is FREE for Acting Academy students of past and present. Those students referred by an AA4K friend receive a $5 referral discount ($10 submission) and those finding out online require a $15 entrance fee.
All competitors will be divided into the following age groups:
4-8, 9-12, and 13-17 (Three Winners)
** The winner in the 4-8 and 9-12 categories will sing a duet with a BROADWAY ACTOR, get Q&A time one-on-one, and film & record their session with Acting Academy Founder, Stephen Zygo at Z Playhouse! **
** The teen winner will receive a private recording session at OC Hit Factory with Recording Artist, Manager and Studio Owner, Thomas Barsoe (www.OCHitFactory.com) **
HOW TO VOTE:
One Vote = $1 to our GoFundMe campaign!
QUESTION: How Will The Winner Be Chosen?
ANSWER: Two criteria: First, votes on gofundme. These carry significant weight. Second, a panel of industry judges will give each performer a score. These will then be factored into the overall score and we will have a winner in each category.
**We will have a Facebook Live program where the top scoring performers in each category will be highlighted. At the end of the event, the winners will be announced! In addition, the winners will be announced on Facebook & Instagram as well as our website!
TIMELINE:
July 15 - August 1 - Video Submissions Sent In
August 15th - Voting Ends/Votes Tallied
August 29th - Facebook Live Event Highlighting Key Performances & Announcing the Winners!
