BAOBAB CANOPY MEDICAL MISSION, ZANZIBAR

Donation protected

My first medical mission trip in 2018 was an incredible new experience that opened my eyes to the needs of the world. My second trip in 2019 helped me understand the value of collaboration in health care and gave me the chance to open Bea's eyes as well. In 2020, I've set the goal of creating new programming that can help us promote health through essential life changes. Mission work is valuable in so many ways and creates bridges that can support lasting change. This year, along with our mission work, we are supporting a nursing student from Chuini village who will be attending SMCC in the Spring and spending time on the Island. As Maine faces an increasingly critical shortage of nurses statewide, it is my hope that she will be able to contribute to our state as well as her home community through educational advancement. How can you help? In a couple of ways. First, forego a couple of coffees or a meal out and donate here. Second, we'll be having a couple of fundraisers this fall/winter that we hope you'll attend. Finally, welcome our friend to Maine with open arms, invite her for a meal, share your religious perspective, or even reach out with suggestions to make her transition easier. Bea will be returning with me to Zanzibar in March and there are a lot of educational expenses, so I hope you will consider contributing and sharing this with friends and family. Thanks for your support!! May, Bea. and Ruwaida
