Support For Family & Children Of Thomas Hurley

Donation protected
Thomas Hurley Thomas Hurley was assaulted and killed at Rodeo Night Club in Tulsa, OK on October 5, 2019. Thomas, a military veteran from Ogden, Utah is survived by his father and mother, 3 children (a twin son and daughter age 7, and son age 5), as well as his family and friends that he loved dearly. Thomas, had been visiting Tulsa for several weeks on a work related trip prior to his death. On Saturday evening, October 5, 2019, Thomas and several work friends had been visiting the club when later that evening they went outside shortly before closing time. Thomas and his 2 friends, were cutting up as they waited for their ride to arrive. It was at this time that a former unidentified club employee, assuming a fight was about to break out, approached Thomas aggressively and began questioning him. An altercation arose between Thomas and the former employee as Thomas attempted to reassure the former employee that everything was alright. Moments later, Thomas received a single strike to the face by the former employee. Thomas fell backwards, hit the ground, and was immediately knocked unconscious when his head impacted the concrete. Minutes later paramedics rushed Thomas to St. Francis Medical Center as they worked to stabilize him; though he never again regained consciousness. In the next few hours doctors determined that Thomas had suffered a major brain injury, fractured skull, broken jaw, and broken teeth. In an effort to address the brain injury, doctors performed surgery resulting in a portion of Thomas’s skull being removed as the brain swelling continued. After additional tests and observation, doctors further determined that Thomas’s brain had shifted due to the impact he had sustained. Over the next several days, Thomas was admitted to ICU as his family members and children flew from Utah to be with their father, son, and family member. Thomas remained in ICU before passing away Tuesday afternoon, October 8, 2019. This fund is being setup by a group of local Tulsans who have come together to tell Thomas’s story and to show our support to his family and children during this tragedy. This fund has been setup in effort to help with airfare, hotel, funeral, legal, and other related financial expenses that Thomas’s family has and will have to incur through this process. Your contribution would help tremendously and is greatly appreciated!
