Help The Barker Family

Hello friends, family, and compassionate strangers. Thank you for taking the time to open this page. I want to bring to light the battle that my Uncle and my Aunt have been fighting for the last year and a half. Last year, my Aunt Lady was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. This tumor began to grow and started to affect her motor skills, her memory, and her overall ability to get through the day. She was told she would not make it through the end of the year. That was 2018. With the help of her loving husband and two children, she fought hard and went to treatments and focused on her well being. Soon, doctors were confident they could get to the tumor to drain it and stunt its growth. An extremely risky procedure that managed to not only improve her condition, but bring back some important motor functions. Things were finally looking up, but recently the tumor came back. Stronger this time. Hospital visits became more frequent. Motor functions have suffered and her memory has been limited. A couple days ago, my aunt was rushed to the ER and admitted to the hospital. Her condition had gotten dire. At this point it is too difficult for her to walk or care for herself. The doctors are concerned about going back in to drain the tumor. There are alot of risks with both options- draining or waiting for an alternate solution. The decision has been made that they will take their chances and proceed with surgery in the coming days. I've created this page so that we can step up and help our family/friends. Unfortunately, medical bills have piled up, house bills have piled up, and the overall cost of this situation has caused the family not only an unimaginable amount of pain but also to fall into deep debt. Medical bills have resulted in over $60,000 in debt and growing. My uncle has stepped up and has taken leave from work to take care of my aunt throughout the day. His sacrifices have been substantial, but all that matters to him and my aunt is their family. While the family has been through this situation, my uncle has worked to keep his children well and adjusted- his son, Brayden is on an all star baseball team with my uncle as one of his coaches and their other child, Mikayla, an academic in high school and striving to make them proud. Through everything, my uncle and my aunt have always put their best foot forward for not only their children, but for all of their family and friends. As my aunt fights for her life with my uncle and their children at her side, I ask that you join my family in lending a helping hand. Whether it is $1,$5, or a prayer please help us restore this family so that they can continue to focus on the fight and not the stress and struggles of bills.
