Loving Grandmother Diagnosed With Stage 4 Lymphoma

My name is Michelle, I’m 50 years young and after numerous tests that all came back good; I woke up one morning with no feeling in my legs. I was taken to a local hospital where scans were performed to find out I had masses on my spinal cord. I was then transferred by ambulance to a hospital 2 hrs away from home where they decided to preform surgery to remove the masses. The mass originated in my chest and extended to the bone in my spine. The waiting game was pure agony; and the wait was finally over… I have been diagnosed with Stage 4 “Aggressive Diffuse B cell Lymphoma”. It has been an ongoing battle fighting for my life! I have been in and out of nursing homes and have finally found one that has been helping me progress, doing OT and PT around the clock so I can FINALLY go home!!! HOME… Its an amazing sound; So close yet so far away!!! I am in need of a special kind of wheelchair in order to go home and safely function. The problem is, my insurance has denied it to me, and I appealed it and it was also denied! This special chair will need to come from money out of my own pocket… Money I do not have as for I have not been able to work while living in a nursing home and fighting this demon called “Cancer”!!!
