Welcome to the Barn Party family!
Barn Party is a non-profit organization benefitting young people with special needs. The term “special needs” encompasses a wide variety of conditions that make life challenging for the affected young person and their families. Because special needs families deal with light and sound sensitivities, food restrictions, mobility limitations and much more, their children are unable to participate in the most basic childhood activities. But Barn Party is changing all of that!
Barn Party is owned and operated by the Williams’ sisters in Ethel, Washington, a small town near Chehalis. They have a severely autistic family member who they have cared for, at home, for her entire life. This experience makes them uniquely qualified to design an event for families with special needs children.
And what an event!!! The annual Halloween Barn Party is carefully planned with heightened awareness of the special needs community. Twenty horse stalls are decked out with spooky, not scary or gory, Halloween attractions. Festive treats, specifically designed to meet dietary restrictions, are in abundant supply. The festivities include pumpkin decorating, face painting and photo sessions. Every part of the event is wheel-chair accessible and the costumes are amazing!
How can you help? In it’s fourth year of operation, the demand and popularity of this event has grown drastically. Hosted by the Williams’ sisters, staffed only by family and volunteers – this event needs your financial support. It takes about two months to transform this active horse barn into The Annual Barn Party. Please help us to make this year’s Barn Party the Halloween destination for special needs families!
