Grand Ave Boxing Gym Fire

On August 26th 2019 Grand Avenue Boxing gym was involved in a devastating 4 alarm fire that destroyed 90% of our building.  Amazingly the east side of our building in which we train and have our equipment was still standing due to the heroic efforts of Portland Fire and Rescue. Most all of our equipment including our boxing ring has been destroyed, but thankfully we still have 4 walls and half a roof. This would not be our first fire we have suffered but this one is by far the biggest. Grand Avenue Boxing has been around since 1949 and it's been a safe haven for kids and young adults. Our goal is to keep kids off the street and in the gym we teach discipline, respect, manners, self respect and self worth- and most importantly confidence. We ask you to please help us into rebuilding what we have lost due to this fire.
