Help support Coach Rob-Massive Stroke Survivor

Donation protected
Hello, My name is Tanya. I am the mother of Robbie Jr. He is Robs son. Rob and I spent many years as partners. Now, We are dear friends. A JUST WEEKS AGO ROB SUFFERED MAJOR BLEED IN HIS BRAIN AND  RESULTED IN A MASSIVE STROKE. He fell into a coma and was air lifted to Victoria Hospital for the true fight..... for his life. Rob recalls the moments and what it was like to escape death. He tells his recollection of it. It’s amazing, touching and filled with lots of love. He tells how he recalls what pulled him back to us.... it was love. The love of his family, friends and supporters within community that were so worried and scared for him had given him the strength to fight.Everyone is so thankful he is still among us! And feel so thankful his children still have a father! Although, I’m sure we ALL ARE so grateful for his will &fight to live! ....That being siad, we often assume THE WORST S BEHIND US. Since his release things have just gotten very hard for him. Now faced with difficult realities, long road of rehabilitation and recovery from brain injury. Idea become really diVfficult for Rob. Even just to get around is a struggle...to be able to remain available to his children and loved ones. This entire situation has just grown into a even more tragic state! Without supports we fear progress will slow., optimism will be lost.... We can already notice him in depressive states My heart aches when I try to think what this all must be like for him. THANKFULLY,  because he was in such great shape physically, his progression had been really positive while he was within the safety of the hospital admittance. He was working hard in rehabilitation and taking full advantage of all the programs and staff there for him. Since his release, he his only to go to two sessions weekly (rehabilitation programs). As well as some social workers visits seem limited. Progression has slowed. He is suffering setbacks mostly due to his Brian injury. It’s difficult for him. Mostly because the state of his affairs at the moment. Family & loved ones do what they can... but realistically it is not near what we wish he could draw from. We are reaching out, his business is gone, as he was the owner and coach..... without him there is no business, he has no home, without income he can’t or get into a place closer to where he needs to be to get to his appointments.... he has been receiving help from friends and family with place to stay. But currently he is far from where he needs to be location wise. He isn’t close to his children. Rarely getting to be present, as he has no transportation to there or his programs, doctors and social workers, he has no income, no way to keep up his meds and important doctor prescribed nourishments or to properly care for his injuries and ongoing rehabilitation. And from a financial standpoint. Rob Will eventually have community and government subsidized support but they take months to come through, and are not near enough. Many have recognized the optimism diminish, and see his light within is growing dim. Help from supportive loved ones and friends and charity and /or community could really help him. Which is why We have turned to this outlet with go fund me. . .
