Make Haverfordwest Carnival Great Again

Growing up as a children in Haverfordwest,  we always looked forward to the town carnival each year, everyone would pull together and compete to build the ultimate float. The community spirit would be buzzing and come rain or shine we ALWAYS had a fantastic day with street parties and celebrations into the night. Unfortunately over the years, due to rising costs and low prize money, people lost interest and our much loved carnival took a massive decline to the point it was no more.  Thanks to a handful of local people who have worked so hard to get the wheels turning again, we now have our carnival back. "BUT" it needs to be bigger and better, we need to make it great again.. We need to all pull together to make our carnival what it was back in the 80's & 90's where the entire county pulled together and almost every street in town had its own float. My aim is to try and get everyone in Pembrokshire to donate just £5 so that we can have very exciting 1st 2nd & 3rd place prizes for the best floats. The bigger the prizes, the more it will entice people to get involved again and take part. So I plead with you, the people of Haverfordwest to give whatever you can afford, no matter how big or small, every little helps. Let's give our children the carnival that we once loved and enjoyed growing up in Haverfordwest.
