Senior Collection

For my senior collection I will be creating a redemption collection where my woman will have become a tribal warrior woman that can look back at the dark paths traveled and stand strong and proud against her battles with the demon that we all have within us.

As an example my current collection is drawing from personal inspiration of my life so far looking back to my demon within that knows my weaknesses.  I seek to still find peace within myself through the daily challenges that I am trialed by.  In realizing that during those stages of sadness and lack of life I was an atheist and now I am a child of God and firm believer in our Lord I have been able to find that freedom of life. 

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" ~ Romans 12:1-2

Therefore I look to the past and show the transition of changes and flux that I went through in order to finally arrive where I am now in my body on my feet today.  Looking towards the Bible for inspirational quotes I find visual inspiration in nature and all things produced and created by God himself on the earth.  Textures, colors and raw earthy materials turn me on and I thrive on finding ways to tie it into a bohemian wear collection for my girl who enjoys getting her feet muddy and exploring the earth.  Knitwear, jerseys, thin floating fabrics, and very tactile DIY craft like techniques are the basis for my work. 

So...

I need your help in raising enough money to create my own printed fabrics, buy yarns, threads, buttons, zippers, beads and all the fabrics I need in order to produce an 8 look mini collection taken from a total of 20 looks.  I will also be looking to work with models and photographers and need to pay them for commission.  I will be having a fashion show in Paris, France 23rd May 2013 then my graduation on the 25th May and all are welcome to join.

As the collection evolves over the holidays I will be posting more current images where you can see what this "tribal warrior woman" will be wearing when it comes to be May.
