New home for my mom

My dad passed away on 11/23/12, the day after Thanksgiving, after his 6 year battle with polycystic kidney disease.  Since his passing, my mom has found herself in a difficult financial situation, with no savings account and no life insurance on my father, as it was hard to find with his medical diagnosis.  We are trying to get my mom in to a townhouse as the monthly fee is less than an apartment, however, it is a co-op so you actually buy the unit from the previous owner.  I am desperately looking for financial help with getting her in to a new home.  Thank you and may God bless you all for you generosity!!!
