Running to help Roland and his family!
In October 2012, our dear
friend, colleague, father, son, brother, and husband, Roland Hea, was diagnosed with Acute
Myelogenous Leukemia (AML).
Roland is the most positive, kindest, generous individual and we all
care so much about him. So many of us
want to be able to help in any way we can.
In lieu of being able to eradicate
his leukemia, a group of us are going to run the Platte River Half Marathon on
April 7, 2013 in his honor under the team name "Roland's Runners". We want to use this opportunity to spread the
word about donating blood and platelets, as well as the National Bone Marrow
Registry. Roland is a frequent customer
of people's generous donations. He is currently recovering from a recent bone marrow transplant.
Please see his CaringBridge page at:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/rolandhea
All
of the donations for this page will go towards helping Roland and his family
during this battle and encourage us to run for the Heas! We love you Roland!
