A family in need of support and a man in need of a kidney.  This could be any of you reading this.  A minor accident resulted in more major challenges in the span of a few years than most people face in an entire lifetime.
Kidney failure led to a discovery of cancer.
The battle with cancer was hard fought, and finally won, two years ago.
The kidney failure is complete and requires a transplant, but that had to wait until cancer was cleared.  Dialysis is a part of daily life now for simple survival.
After a long wait, Kim is finally officially on the National Kidney Transplant Recipient list. There is simply no time frame on when this will happen, if it will happen or that it will be successful once it does happen.

Now he and his family desperately need to reach out for support to manage financially at this point in time. This illness has demolished this wonderful family financially, a thriving business reduced to a small disability payment, bankruptcy, medical costs and the continuing increasing costs of living all mean it is impossible to manage some of the more basics.

A home that includes this man, his steadfast wife and their child/spouse and a small grandbaby. This family has remained strong in their faith, actively supporting the Nat\'l Kidney foundation (recently raising over $8000 in contributions to them), and although it is very difficult to request help, the situation is dire enough at this time, help is required.  Every penny counts and is appreciated more than imagined, and may God bless you all for reading this.

It\'s official.I am now on the kidney transplant list.
It\'s been a long time coming. But now that I\'m there, we are going to need some serious funding.  (I\'m not delusional,I know there is no way we are going to raise 50k,I just needed a number so I pulled that one out of nowhere.)
While the insurance will pay a big part of the medical expenses, there is no money to actually live on during the recovery after the operation.
With an estimated recovery time of  four to six weeks, bills will be piling up.
In addition, anyone that actually donates a kidney to me will ahve their medical costs covered, but not their living expenses.  Its not easy doing this but sometimes one has do do thing they don\'t want to.
Thank you for reading this.
